Welcome to Michigan! Let me show you around.

Posted by Not John Chow | September 21, 2008 .

That’s right welcome to Michigan. If you are an American you now live in Michigan. Maybe you do not live their in reality but, you live their virtually. Yes, unemployment is high, job opportunities are low, and the future seems bleak.

So, welcome to Michigan. Now what? Your retirement account is down and businesses are failing everywhere.

Maybe it wasn’t a good idea to deregulate all those industries?

Maybe smaller government wasn’t all it was cracked up to be.

Maybe the answer isn’t Republican or Democrat.

Maybe the answer is somewhere in between.

My thoughts? Vote Democrat this time and let them pull the country to the left. Then, maybe after things have right themselves, keep things Status Quo.

What do you think?

Moron? Name calling is usually reserved to close mined individuals. If you read my post beyond the first sentence you may have noticed that I recommended a shift to the center, not an abandonment of the right. Whether you call it over sight or regulation, the extreme right would be happier with no government or at least a very small government. Is a smaller government capable of overseeing the Savings and Loan industry, the sub-prime mortgage industry?

It is strange that Democrats get blamed for large deficits and large government. The Republicans have overseen the largest expansion of government with the creation of the Department of Homeland Security and the largest deficit in US history.

Again, if you read the post, you would know that I am for a middle of the road approach instead of what we have had in the past which was a swing form the left to the right and then back to the left.

And lastly, your comment would be easier to read if you re-read it once and added in the missing words that you forgot due to your rushed emotional response. If you calm down, read what you wrote, and think before you hit the submit button, you will come across with a lot more credibility.

Oh, as a republican, what do you think of Palin as a VP candidate?

I think your a moron. Deregulation of what? Banks? Banks and Wallstreet are highly regulated, politicians blame anything other than themselves. 3 Years ago Bush (whom I can’t stand) tried to pass a bill putting tighter controls on how the GOV oversees the banking industry ( not regulation ) just oversight, guess what? Everyone favourite Deomcrats just cause they hate Bush refused to pass the bill. Thank you Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi !!! Liars trying to blame Republicans (whom tried to pass the bill but apprently didnt try hard enough!! Move the left and say hello to 1978 to a Jimmy Carter economy complete with 18 inflation and 11 percent home loans!!! Thats right, Jimmy Carter promised to raise taxes on the rich and corporations, leading to the worst recession since 1929.

I don’t think I will take that chance.
