I recently checked my Google Analytics statistics to discover that my referrel traffic typically comes from StumbleUpon, EntreCard, and SiteHoppin.
These three sites have something in common. They encourage Internet users to notice your site and to tell others that your site is note-worthy.
The SumbleUpon tool bar encourages you to give each site a simple thumbs up or thumbs down for each site you visit.
EntreCard doesn’t stress the quality of your blog, but it does encourage you to visit as many sites as you can and rewards you for doing so.
SiteHoppin is like StumbleUpon for drunks! They are probably the only ones who are walking straight!
So, to increase your traffic, should you stumble through life with StumbleUpon, wander aimlessly with EntreCard, or walk a straight line with SiteHoppin?
Whereas each of these has their value, StumbleUpon clearly has the lead. It is the most established of the three and it offers mini reviews of the sites you visit.
EntreCard has mad a big splash on the scene by giving it users more control of where their blog site is seen and how it is promoted. The recent addition of the EntreCard Store has brought even greater interaction between bloggers with even more ways to improve, promote, and increase traffic. The only down obvious down side is the increase in bounce rate that comes with this traffic as EC bingers race through blogs collecting EC credits.
SiteHoppin, like StumbleUpon, allows you to rate sites as liked or disliked. It also has numerous other features including a huge tag cloud, and options for bookmarking and promoting other web sites and blogs. It received an obvious boost from its prescence on the EntreCard system. Definitely worth checking out.

Thanks for the summary it is good to get a little more detail about the different social networking sites. I have found that my stumble traffic has been quite limited, however I have been getting quite a lot from Entrecard.
It will be interesting to see how Entrecard holds up in coming months. I have to admit I am curious to see if the steady stream of traffic will keep up.
And thanks for the details about SiteHoppin, I am going to have to check that one out as it is not one I had heard of before.
Always great to find out new ways to promote one’s blog.
