I do not have too many problems due to switching planes because I have started accepting longer times between connections rather than get stuck somewhere due to a missed connection. I hope you don't have to switch planes, that is what always caused me the most trouble with delays. My first flight would be delayed, then the second is on time forcing me to catch a later flight.
