If you are a smoker you should be rolling your own cigarettes. The cost of rolling your own is significantly less than even the generic brands of cigarettes.

Do, why aren’t you doing it? Does it seem complicated? Is it difficult? No. It is easy to do and the cost of the equipment will be recouped immediately after you use up your first bag of tobacco.

Does it taste the same as your current brand? Yes. There are a wide variety of tobaccos available and even if you could not find the exact flavor you wanted, you could mix different varieties to get that special smoke you crave.

Shown here is a bag of Teton brand tobacco, a Top-O-Matic cigarette machine, and a box of Premier cigarette tubes with filters.

You simply attach a paper cigarette tube to the machine, drop tobacco into the machine and then turn the crank. Viola! You have just made your first cigarette.  It is really that easy.  There are a few tips for better cigarettes like drying the tobacco first and not over packing the machine but, with a little practice you will be saving a tone of cash.  I estimate that a carton of home rolled cigarettes cost around $10.

How do you save money?
