Ouch! WordPress 2.5 Hurts!

I love WordPress but I hate the work that comes with a major release such as version 2.5. The pain for me came in two waves.

First, IE9 on my wide scree Toshiba does not allow me to see the bottom of the media loading screen and what is worse is that I can not even move the box. I know that I should change over to Fire Fox but, I just got used to my set up in IE9 and I want to change on my schedule. So, wen I need to load a picture today, I need to use my sons computer which is running IE8? on XP.

Second, I hate having to fix all the plugins. I do like how some of the themes that I am running give an option on the plugin page to automatically update, I do not like finding fixes for obsolite plugins.

In the future I will be more careful. I will let the majority of bloggers update first. That way I can learn about any potential problems before they happen to me. There will also be fixes in the works by the time I jump in. And of course, the plugins will be updated by then as well.

What do you think of WordPress 2.5? Are you using it? Have you had any problems? Can you share some solutions? What do you think?

Maybe 2.5.1 will be better!

    Since I upgraded to WP 2.5, found some errors but managed to solved them. Only the error with Alex King Popularity Plugin that hasn’t been fixed yet.

    While I have had difficulties, I should have prepared more in advance. I think the upgrades benefits out weigh its detractions. Still I hate having to deal with the changfes.

    I use wordpress but I’m not upgraded to 2.5 yet, I’m content with my current version :)

    I hope 2.5.1 takes care of everything for a while. While I do like updates that we need, I hate having to do an upgrade all the time. Either create an auto update function for WordPress, or stop updating so much!
