Not John Chow Tries Out Targeted Web Traffic!

Posted by Not John Chow | June 4, 2010 .

I came across one of these ads on another blog recently:

I usually pass on these banner ads because they look too good to be true.

After some thought I decided to check it out. I figured that if it was a scam I could always opt out before the final sign up page. Much to my delight I found that not only is it legit, it is free.

I will be monitoring this experiment for a few months, I will report back the results.

Any success?

I will keep that in mind. My pagerank sucks right now anyways so I have no where to go but up!

Did you start making money with AdSense? Careful with this traffic exchange schemes. I got PR demoted from 4 to 0 due to extreme linking WITHOUT ‘nofollow’ attribute.

P.S. If you want I can put a 125X90 ad to your site on my side bar. Let me know.

Okay, so I did it – signed up through your link and I also made a blog post about it on my site… have you seen a lot of new visitors coming in from the experiment yet?

Google shouldn’t mind because they are not paid links but, I know what you mean.

I have updated the post to include an free ad on my blog to try and get the ball rolling!

I think the key to this method is getting the first six to sign up and then the links start to increase geometrically.

I’ll be following your updates about the program, for sure. But I won’t add it just yet, never know how Google will like it….

That is what I thought. But, actually, there is no catch. It is completely free. I do not have to pay anything and I do not have to click on ads or do any additional work.

It is a little slower in starting than EntreCard, Adgitize or CMF Ads because you have to wait for people to click your ad and add their blog to the system but, over time as more and more bloggers sign up I expect that the traffic will start to pick up in a geometric fashion.

Still not sure? It cost nothing to sign up and give it a try.
