Not John Chow Says “Tell Them Your Here!”

Want more Traffic?

Maybe you should tell them your here! In order for search engines to find you, they need to know that you are out there. Quickly broadcast your newest post to the internet (or should I say Blogosphere?) by notifying the ping services.

Simply add the following links to your WordPress Blog by going to Settings –> Writing –> Update Services.  this is a simple cut and paste operation.

Let me know if this gives you a boost in traffic.  I will be checking it out as well.  I wonder what services John Chow uses? Shoemoney? Darren Rowse of ProBlogger?

What services do you use? Are they listed here?

@NJC: Blogspot is like hosted WordPress.com. Indeed, on Blogspot you cannot touch that setting. Maybe in the future.

@benwaynet: Why do you say it slows down the admin site. It is not true at all. I posted large lists of links and nothing happens. The New Story page is in no way related to your front page or to your posts.

thanks for the list, just want to note that adding this large of list could slow down your admin site when you try to post a new story.

does wordpress use the settings you listed, if you use something like WLW to create post? i know you can add this list to WLW

I checked on the Blogspot site and it does not appear that you can manipulate that setting.

No, I’m sorry I don’t know much about how blogspot works. I am self hosted and I am using WordPress. Does Blogspot use wordpress?
