Not John Chow rises slowly in the rankings

But, Where Is My PageRank?

Am I impatient or what? Okay, I started in November (2007) and now it is January (2008) and I still do not have a PageRank on Google. I have an Alexa ranking of 231,062 and my Technorati 347,152, but how do I get that PageRank?

Back in November I was at 247 on 45n5’s top 100 list and moving in the wrong direction. Now I am at 230 and moving up, but where is my PageRank?

I have heard that WordPress pings too much and causes problems or maybe I still don’t have enough links. If anyone has any suggestions, I am all ears! Leave me a comment and let me know. This is the learning part of the blog. Please share your knowledge here and I am sure that it will help everyone.

Hi, my blog was also started Nov 2007 and it’s PR 4 on the most recent PR update a few days ago. Before, it was “N/A”.
All I did were, submit my articles to article directories, link exchanging and stay away from bad neighbourhood.
I think the links I got from my friend’s blog which has a PR 4 contributes a great boost to my PR. He places my link on the sidebar so my link appears on all of his pages.
If you’re interested, we can exchange links and I’ll put yours on my sidebar. Just like my friend did to my link and you can put mine on your sidebar.

Dude…you need a serious lesson in Pagrank. Email me sometime and I’ll explain.

Also, for the love of god, take about 75% of those tacky ads off of your site, and you might get people to come back!

This site needs work, and if you need some ideas, let me know.

Ryan has a point. You need to arrange some placements. Those ads on the left side is too repetitive and messy.
I’m not saying that mine is better and easy on the eyes, but if the readers feel uncomfortable reading my blog, i’ll take serious account on what they say and what frustrates them

I think you just have to be a little bit more patient. Ryan is right. too many ads will kill your blog.
