My Day Job Pays the Bills.

Posted by Not John Chow | September 14, 2008 .

Some of you have been checking in with me concerned by my silence.  I assure you that I am alive in kicking but, my focus has been elsewhere.

You see, I work in the automotive industry. Oh, and I live in Michigan. That my friends is a lethal combination! Michigan is bleeding jobs at a dangerous rate.

So, you see I have been looking for a way out and I am considering drastic measures like relocation to more prosperous areas and looking to see if I can jump industries.

It is also the fall soccer season and I am the coach! These two activities have forced me to change my priorities and you guessed it, blogging has taken a big hit.

So, until Halloween has passed (the end of soccer season) or until I solve my job dilemma, I will continue to struggle with my blog time.

I know that I will return eventually because blogging is great therapy!

I hope all is well with you and I promise I will try to stop in more often.

    Hey Jeremy,

Thanks for stopping by. I haven’t been keeping up on the blog for the last few months because I have been focused on finding a job while keeping the one that I have.

Currently, I average only 20 visits per day. I guess that isn’t too bad considering that I haven’t been writing much of late.

If my job situation improves I will definitely be back. I seem to have a small but loyal following that keeps my spirits high.

I really should plan something for my one year anniversary coming up in November.

One thing is for certain, everyone is beginning to feel the same pain as those of us in Michigan.

Oh, I feel bad for you. I have some friends in Michigan and it isn’t looking pretty. Thought you should know I found your site through Alexa. If you type John Chow in Alexa you rank #5. Not too shabby. Too bad no one except webmasters use Alexa. #6 on Google isn’t bad.
Im just curious. What is your traffic like?

    Jeremy
