Big Fat Super Duper Tuesday?I am not Catholic (I am Not John Chow either) and so I do not celebrate Fat Tuesday except for the fact that I love Pączki’s. Who wouldn’t? I did however find it humourous to discover that Fat Tuesday and Super Tuesday fell on the same day this year. Only it was hard to get excited about all those people going to the polls to vote (for Hillary I hope) when my own vote does not appear to count. The same hold true for Florida, except for a few confused citizens that tried to vote vesterday. That would be funny too except that it didn’t matter which day Floridians showed up. Their vote still doesn’t count.”
I did get a nice email from Howard Dean today though!
He was asking me to help defeat the Republicans and was suggesting that I might make a donation to the Democratic Party to help out.
Here was my response:
“Dear Howard,
It is hard to support the Democratic Party when the Party does not support me.
When Michigan Democratic elected officials supported the move to push Michigan’s primary up and when the National Democratic Party punishes the whole state for these actions, I become apathetic to your needs.
If you need my help, start by helping me. Make my vote count. I voted for Hillary Clinton in the Michigan Primary. Please seat the Michigan delegates at the convention so that I can care again.”
I am pretty sure that Howard will never read my remarks, but it felt good to finally say something to him (at him?). I did try to make a comment on the Democratic Party blog but when I went to leave my remarks I got a response that said that I need to register before I could comment. Only one small problem there, search as I may (and I used the search function on their site) I could not locate where I could register to leave comments. I ended up registering with the site, but apparently that wasn’t the same as registering with the blog. So, now I get all the junk mail from their site, and once again I get now involvement.
I still want the Democrats to win. I just want someone to fire Howard Dean. And to think that he wanted to be our president!
