“Bounce Rate” is a measure of how long a visitor is on your site before they leave or bounce. You should check out Google Analytics (www.google.com/analytics) for more details. Their is also a google analytics plugin that will make it easier for you to add it to your blog. Analytics will allow you to track traffic and numerous other statistics to let you know what works and what doesn’t.

This is going to sound stupid but what does “kick up your bounce rate.” mean?

You will see some benefit. The problem is that it will kick up your bounce rate.

I thought about exiting EntreCard but, since I am getting a lot of credits, I decided to keep it to use the credits in contests. (Hint, hint one is coming soon!)

I still use BlogRush and I am using Site Hoppin’.

My second biggest traffic source is John Chow dot Com. I get decent traffic and I do not get such a high bounce rate. Hmmm… I wonder why I get traffic from there?

You’re definitely right. I got here seeing your EntreCard title, and I want to tell you I quit EntreCard a week ago. I didn’t have time to drop cards indefinitely, and my stats were pretty low. I was also in the Blog Clean Up Day, so EntreCard is now, as John Cow put it, ExitCard for me

I’ll try some other traffic exchange methods in the future. I’m still using the BlogRush widget, which I see you’re using it too, and I’m having luck with it. Every now and then the syndicated stats show a fiery icon, instead of a frozen one.
