Day One - I am NOT John Chow

Hello, my name is John Haley.  I am not John Chow.   I would like to be like John Chow (in terms of online income!), but I am not yet there.  In fact, I am a long way from there.  About a month ago I came across JohnChow.com  and I was inspired by what John was saying and doing, so I decided that I would give it a try.  I signed up for JohnChow.com’s RSS feed and received John’s free “Free Make Money Online Ebook.”   John reminded me of something I have said in the past, you can say that you are going to start something “someday,” but “someday” may never come.  So, here I am.  Today is someday!  Thanks John!  Now all I have to do is to see if an “Average Guy” with novice technical skills, can follow in John Chow’s foot steps.

 Of course, this isn’t really Day One.  Day One started with the search for a cheap hosting service beacuse I am cheap or at least poor.  Feel free to donate when I get my PayPal account set up.  I settled on DreamHost because I am cheap.  I spent $22.40 after finding the typical $97 promo code and I was in business.  Well, I had a domain name and a bunch of emails from DreamHost that they thought were enough to get me started.  Not really.  I had to stumble around to find things and I got the impression that they assumed that I already new what all the software did and how to use it.  I tried to upload Prosense from DoshDosh.com and then install it, but it went horribly wrong (I don’t know why) and it didn’t look right. 

So, I plan to cronicle here my plight or success in implimenting a monetized Blog similar to the JohnChow.com site.
