So here we go! I just got off the Google Adsense site and I am ready to try to integrate it with my blog.
Here are the key steps I took:
1. I created an account. Which inclued filling out tax information for Uncle Sam. I also provided information on my banking for direct deposit. They deposited a small amount of money into my account that I needed to verify with Google or you could just accept a check in the mail.
2. I entered my blog’s web site. You can enter multiple web sites.
3. I created channels. These are word groups for advertisers to choose from. These are like tags or keywords that advertisers can search for and find your site as a possible spot for their advertisements.
4. I created php code from the selected options that included size and color.
5. I then installed the Adman plugin. Download it from here: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/adman/.
6. Then I copied it into the text box choices in the Adman tab of the Options tab of WordPress. This allows you to place adds infront of your posts, at the end of your posts and in the middle of your posts.
7. Now I am writing this post to check to see if it works. Wish me luck.
If it does work, I will need to get that RSS feed stuff figured out!
